IAABO Eastern Connecticut
Board 8, is seeking candidates that are interested in
becoming a high school basketball official for the 2021-22 basketball season.
Candidates are strongly encouraged to attend the rules classes that will prepare
you for the written exam that will be held in November.
We are extremely proud that
IAABO #8 currently has 2 members officiating in the NBA and at all 3 levels of
College basketball for both Men’s & Women’s. They all started here on Eastern
Board #8!
The successful candidate
will be at least 18 years old, enthusiastic about the game of basketball and
officiating, responsible, honest, hard working, open to feedback, open to
learning, dedicated, availability to officiate games, have a car, background in
basketball and be a positive role model.
Rules classes and on-court
clinics will be conducted to prepare you to officiate basketball games at the
youth and high school levels. This is a
great way to stay in shape, stay connected to the great game of basketball and
earn money at the same time.
2021
Rules Classes
All rules classes will be conducted online, through the IAABO University. Weekly
Zoom sessions will be held for all candidates, these will help guide you through
the course.
There will be a Zoom session for all new candidates on Monday, September 13,
2021 @ 6:00pm.

*The cost of the training and first year dues is $155, this should be mailed in
with your completed application/background form. All checks are made payable to:
