IAABO Eastern Connecticut Board 8, is seeking candidates that are interested in becoming a high school basketball official for the 2017-18 basketball season. Candidates are strongly encouraged to attend the rules classes that will prepare you for the written exam on Monday, November 6, 2017. We are looking for candidates to attend as many of the classes as possible. Each class will cover different material.
We are extremely proud that IAABO #8 currently has 2 members officiating in the NBA and at all 3 levels of College basketball for both Men’s & Women’s. They all started here on Eastern Board #8!
The successful candidate will be at least 18 years old, enthusiastic about the game of basketball and officiating, responsible, honest, hard working, open to feedback, open to learning, dedicated, availability to officiate games, have a car, background in basketball and be a positive role model.
Rules classes and on-court clinics will be conducted to prepare you to officiate basketball games at the youth and high school levels. This is a great way to stay in shape, stay connected to the great game of basketball and earn money at the same time.

Monday-Oct 30, Nov 6 (Exam for the new candidates).

*The cost of the training and first year dues is $145, this is payable at the first class.
