IAABO Eastern Connecticut Board 8, is seeking candidates that are interested in becoming a high school basketball official for the 2025-2026 basketball season. Candidates will enroll in the on-line IAABO University program.

We are extremely proud that IAABO #8 currently has 2 members officiating in the NBA, 1 member in the G-League and all 3 levels of NCAA college basketball for both Men’s & Women’s. They all started here on Eastern Board #8!

The successful candidate will be at least 18 years old, enthusiastic about the game of basketball and officiating, responsible, honest, hardworking, open to feedback, open to learning, dedicated, available to officiate games, have a car, background in basketball and be a positive role model.

Rules classes through IAABO University and on-court training will be conducted to prepare you to officiate basketball games at the youth and high school levels. This is a great way to stay in shape, stay connected to the great game of basketball and earn money at the same time.

 *The cost of the first year dues is $50, this should be mailed in with your completed application/background form.
